Rules and Speaker requirements at FACE IT: Elder Abuse Happens – Community of Practice, Taking Action Conference

1. ACCEPTABILITY OF TERMS OF AGREEMENT
Completing and signing this form indicates the speaker(s) accepts the terms of the agreement and will not hold FACE IT: Elder Abuse Happens – Community of Practice, Taking Action Conference.

2. PAYMENT
Speakers must provide Alberta Elder Abuse Awareness Council (AEAAC) with an invoice for agreed upon speaker fees and related expenses, as outlined in the speaker agreement. Invoice must be submitted before April 2 for full payment. Payment will be made on the day of the conference, upon completion of the presentation.

3. ASSIGNMENT OF SPEAKING ENGAGEMENT
Speakers will be assigned a date and time to present. FACE IT: Elder Abuse Happens – Community of Practice, Taking Action Conference will make every effort to accommodate special requests. Not withstanding the above, FACE IT: Elder Abuse Happens – Community of Practice, Taking Action Conference retains the right to assign or change speaker time at its sole discretion as deemed necessary.

4. CANCELATION OF CONFERENCE
If FACE IT: Elder Abuse Happens – Community of Practice, Taking Action Conference is prevented from proceeding with the conference, for whatever cause, FACE IT: Elder Abuse Happens – Community of Practice, Taking Action Conference shall cancel the speaking engagement without any liability to FACE IT: Elder Abuse Happens – Community of Practice, Taking Action Conference. Speakers may cancel their presentation with written notification to FACE IT: Elder Abuse Happens – Community of Practice, Taking Action Conference.

5. RESTRICTIONS
Speakers will not provide substitute speakers/presenters without written notification to FACE IT: Elder Abuse Happens – Community of Practice, Taking Action Conference.

6. WRITTEN NOTICE
Written notice must be sent to FACE IT: Elder Abuse Happens – Community of Practice, Taking Action Conference janet.schimmel@janpat.com
