Indigenous Communities
Supporting Indigenous Elders, families, and communities through respectful, culturally grounded approaches to safety, awareness, and outreach.
Honouring Indigenous Elders and Communities
The Alberta Elder Abuse Awareness Council (AEAAC) is committed to supporting Indigenous Elders and communities through respectful, culturally grounded, and relationship-based approaches.
We recognize the importance of tradition, connection to community, and the knowledge of Elders in creating safe and supportive environments. Our work is guided by a commitment to listening, learning, and walking alongside communities to strengthen safety, dignity, and well-being.
We work alongside Nations, service providers, and community partners to promote elder safety, strengthen coordinated responses, and support initiatives that honour Indigenous ways of knowing and being.
