Your support CAN make a difference!

The Alberta Elder Abuse Awareness Council works in the spirit of community collaboration to ensure that every older adult in Alberta—including 2SLGBTQ+ and culturally-diverse seniors facing unique barriers—can live free from abuse, neglect, and fear.

AEAAC helps communities and individuals like you to take action to address and prevent elder abuse through the provision of critical educational resources and recommendations, the promotion of collaboration and coordinated response, and the advocacy and encouragement of social change throughout the province. But our critical work needs sustained, local support to truly make a difference.

Choose respect, safety, and freedom for those in harm or at risk from the traumas and indignities of elder abuse and neglect. Take action today and take a stand with us to end elder abuse!

Your much needed donation will help to:

  • Deliver province-wide training and education to frontline workers
  • Create inclusive, accessible resources for diverse seniors
  • Strengthen our Safe Spaces initiative and community response networks
  • Support the work of local case managers and their coordinated community response teams who are the frontline support for seniors at risk

Funding Local Case Managers: A Call to Municipalities

Local elder abuse case managers are essential. They connect seniors to services, coordinate interventions, and offer trusted support to elders at risk of abuse and neglect.

The Alberta Elder Abuse Awareness Council calls on municipal governments across Alberta to commit to the safety of their seniors by directly funding or co-funding a local elder abuse case manager, and partnering with us to build sustainable, community-driven responses.

Together, we can ensure that no senior falls through the cracks—in any community, under any circumstance.

Contact us today to discuss local funding partnerships at elderabusealberta@gmail.com.

Every contribution—individual or municipal—helps create a safer Alberta for seniors.
